Mrs Patsy Petrie, Deputy Head Teacher, Bankfields Primary School

Role on the Board: Trustee
As Head Teacher at Bankfields Primary School, I am fully committed to the aims of the Trust and believe collaborative partnerships offer a range of opportunities that benefit children, staff and the wider community.  I have 14 years experience of working in the Eston area and my personal life experiences have made me committed to providing the best possible outcomes for all our children.
I believe the Trust will help us to:
  • Improve children's futures, raising their aspirations and increasing their knowledge of current and future opportunities.
  • Share best practice;
  • Provide collaborative opportunities across schools.
  • Share training and development opportunities at all levels;
  • Make the most of our available budget and negotiate best value for all schools.
Bankfields is a very creative school.  We use the creative arts to stimulate & motivate children.  As a Trust, we want all children to have creative, cultural & sporting opportunities that they may not otherwise access

Mrs Sandra Marsden

Co-head teacher, Whale Hill Primary School

Role on the Board : Trustee

I am a trustee as I believe in the ethos of the cooperative trust; I value the strong support of colleagues within the trust and the many opportunities to work with a range of partners.

Before joining Whale Hill School in 2008 as Deputy Head Teacher, I was a member of the SLT at Seton CPP School in Staithes and prior to that a Class Teacher in Redcar and Cleveland. I have also spent a year working for Social Services with the Leaving Care Team in Stockton.  I completed my NPQH in 2010 along with the Aspiring Head Teachers Course in 2011.  I have always recognised how working in collaboration with partners impacts positively on children’s learning and well-being; often reaching out to wider families and the community.

The Trust will offer a shared commitment to raising achievement in all of the schools within it, by sharing expertise, resources and best practice. As well as this, staff will benefit from CPD if outstanding teachers open up their classrooms and model good practice. All of the children in the trust will belong to a group of schools fully dedicated to achieve outstanding progress and attainment.
